MUNDKA-BAHADURGARH METRO TRIALS IN DEC 2017-11-06

Mundka-Bahadurgarh Metro trials in Dec 2017-11-06

Monday, 06 November 2017 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

Trial runs on Delhi Metro’s Mundka-Bahadurgarh stretch are likely to begin in December, setting the stage for the mass rapid transit’s third foray into Haryana. Once the 11.18-km-long line starts in June 2018, Bahadurgarh will be third Haryana town, after Gurugram and Faridabad, in the DMRC fold. It will take just 45 minutes to travel from Bahadurgarh (City Park) to Mundka.

Confirming about the trial runs, a senior Delhi Metro Rail Corporation officer said, “Once the section becomes operational, it will take just one hour to travel from Rajiv Chowk to Bahardurgarh metro station. It takes up to two hours via road.”

The corridor, being constructed as part of the metro’s Phase III project, will have a total of seven stations, four in Delhi and three in Haryana.

In Delhi, the stations will be Mundka Industrial Area (MIE), Ghevra, Tikri Kalan and Tikri Border, while in Haryana the three stations will be Modern Industrial Estate, Bus Stand and City Park (Bahadurgarh).

The Mundka-Bahadurgarh Metro corridor is an extension of the existing Inderlok-Mundka Corridor (Line-5).

It will be an elevated metro corridor along NH-10 (Rohtak Road).

Talking about the major hurdle faced by the DMRC, the senior official said, “If the Haryana Urban Development Authority fails to provide land to the DMRC for laying tracks for a depot, there will be delay in the commissioning of the line.”

According to DMRC’s estimates, around 1.43 lakh people are expected to travel on the line daily. Another highlight of the upcoming corridor is that it will be the longest straight-line stretch in the history of the Delhi Metro without any bend or twist and turn between Mundka and Bahadurgarh.

BAHADURGARH LOW BUDGET GOOD RETURN INVESTMENT

AREA WATCH: BAHADURGARH

Down but not out

This industrial and knowledge hub with an affordable price tag can be the perfect entry point for homebuyers with limited budget but longer investment goals

Geetu Vaid

With stagnant prices, delayed projects, slow sales and reluctant buyers the realty outlook for several lesser known micro markets of NCR has not been very positive over the past couple of years. So while in spite of a slowdown and delayed projects Greater Noida, Yamuna Expressway, New Gurgaon, Sohna etc have managed to remain on the buyers’ radar, others like Bahadurgarh, Bhiwadi, Manesar have failed to live up to their potential.

Apart from buyer scepticism and investor apathy these micromarkets have also seen poor infrastructure growth. Bahadurgarh is one such NCR town that has seen sales plummeting over the past two years with real estate agents virtually writing it off as a “prudent” investment option. Primarily an industrial hub, Bahadurgarh has the usual pain points of any industrial city.  “The pace of infrastructure growth has been slow and the town has poor civic amenities, which is a big put off for an odd buyer who comes scouting for this area”, says Somnath Dhaiya, who deals with properties in the NCR region. But in spite of its poor report card, market watchers claim that investing in a home in Bahadurgarh will not be a bad bargain in the long run.

Firstly, it is one of the more affordable areas in the NCR at the moment with prices ranging between Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,200 per sq ft. A 1,150 sq ft to 1,600 sq ft two or three BHK here is available in the price bracket of Rs 30 to Rs 50 lakh. Along with this the presence of developers like Tata Value Homes, Omaxe, KLJ Developers etc takes care of the quality of construction here. Thus, industry mavens maintain that it is a good investment for those with limited funds and a longer investment window.

There are a number of factors that will ensure growth of residential segment in this town over the next five years. “Situated in close proximity to both Gurgaon and New Delhi, Bahadurgarh has the potential of being the hub for the value and affordable housing segment in the NCR area. Its proximity to prime residential areas like Pitampura, Rohini, Janak Puri, Punjabi Bagh, Dwarka will establish Bahadurgarh as a major residential location in NCR”, says Brotin Banerjee, MD & CEO, Tata Housing Development Company. The group has an affordable homes project New Haven under construction in Bahadurgarh.

Key market drivers

The city is shedding its old skin with improved prospects in connectivity and infrastructure. It will be developed for a population of 4.84 lakh by 2031 AD.

Connectivity is a major factor for homebuyers, especially in the NCR. Bahadurgarh is 30 km from Delhi, but with the work on Metro line connecting it with Delhi areas  likely to be completed by December  end this year, commuting will not be cumbersome. In fact, Bahadurgarh will be the fourth town in the NCR to be connected to Delhi through Metro after the completion of metro line to Mundka. The commuting time on this stretch will be 20 minutes and it will take slightly more than an hour to travel from Bahadurgarh to Connaught Place. The city is connected to Gurgaon via the NH-10 and also through the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway. This expressway, which intersects NH-1, NH-8 and NH-2, and NH-10 near Bahadurgarh, was delayed by more than five years which had lowered the real estate prices in Bahadurgarh. But the January 2015 Supreme Court ruling had put things on a fast track. The expressway is set to be the single major catalyst of residential and commercial development in this region.

The presence of a large number of industries and educational institutions are the other favourable factors for housing demand in the city. There are around 500 footwear units in Bahadurgarh contributing around one-third of the net turnover of the city. Apart from this; there are iron and steel fabrication, plastic industry, rubber industry, machinery fabrication, auto components, wires and cable manufacturing industry, pharma, sanitary, ceramics, medical equipment manufacturing industry too.

Bahadurgarh is also considered a knowledge hub due to presence of a number of government and private colleges and institutions. In addition, it is also developing as a major healthcare and medical facility node with the foundation stone of Maharaja Agrasen Medical University being laid by the Chief Minister of Haryana in August, 2015 and AIIMS, Jhajjar already in advanced stages of planning.

Planned urban growth

The quality of life will also be good in Bahadurgarh as it is moving towards planned urban growth. It is among 38 cities in the Northern region that have been selected under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT).

The Haryana Government’s Final Development Plan-2031 AD for Bahadurgarh lays down the criterion for planned development of the city. For example, Sector 16 of Bahadurgarh has been developed as a general-purpose industrial area, Sector 17 as a Footwear Park. Currently sectors 2, 6, 7 , 9 , 9A are developed and sectors 1, 10, 11 and 13 are under development as residential sectors. The rest of projected population would be accommodated in residential sectors i.e. 1, 2, 3, 3A, 3B, 4A, 5 part, 6, 7 part, 9 part, 9A, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 19 part, 20 part, 23 part, 24 part, 25, 26, 27 part, 28, 28A, 29, 35 part, 36 part and 37.

With a detailed development plan in place and better connectivity and industrial growth and availability of affordable and good quality housing, realty scene here  will not be under the cloud of slowdown for long.

Foundation Stone of  Bahadurgarh Metro with Delhi Laid

Bahadurgarh is all set to become fourth National Capital Region (NCR) town and third city of Haryana to be connected with Delhi through Metro rail.

Union urban development minister Kamal Nath and Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday laid the foundation stone of Mundka (Delhi)-Bahadurgarh metro rail link at sector 9 in Bahadurgarh.
The project having a route length of 11.182 Kms would be completed by March, 2016 with project cost of Rs 1991 crore. Haryana would contribute Rs 787.96 crore.
There would be seven stations- Mundka industrial area, Ghewra, Tikri Kalan, Tikri border (all in Delhi), Modern industrial estate, bus stand and city park Bahadurgarh (in Haryana) from Mundka to Bahadurgarh.
The travel time from Bahadurgarh (city park) to Mundka would be 20 minutes while it would take 45 minutes upto Inderlok and about 50 minutes upto Kirti nagar in Delhi, an official release said.
An agreement regarding the same was also signed between Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA).
Principal secretary, town and country planning Haryana SS Dhillon and director (works) DMRC Jitender Tyagi signed the agreement on behalf of the two organizations.
Nath said that this metro link was needed to connect Haryana on this side through metro and it would help change habits of the people.
He lauded the role played by Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda in bringing this project to Haryana and said that Deepender took keen interest and never missed the opportunity to put forward the demand whenever he got the chance.
Hooda said that the metro link would be helpful for people of Haryana. Referring to Bahadurgarh, Hooda said that growth was witnessed on three sides of Delhi- Faridabad, Gurgaon and Noida but this side of Bahadurgarh remained neglected.
He said that he has a map of development of this town which would make it equal to Gurgaon in coming five to seven years in terms of development if the people keep on supporting him.
Earlier, Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda said that it took three years to get the project through. He said that Delhi was reluctant for construction of metro rail in its territory after Mundka, saying that it was sparsely populated.
He said that now he would try to get electric train approved between Bahadurgarh and Delhi during February.

GURGAON: The Haryana government has been ordered by Punjab and Haryana high court to finalize the land for shifting of the proposed automobile market from Sector 9 to make sure that the work on the Delhi- Bahadurgarh Metro line doesn't suffer any hiccups.
On December 18, the double bench of Justice Jasbir Singh and Justice Rameshwar Singh Malik had taken up the petition and had given the order to expedite the shifting of the market to the new place.
http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/images/pixel.gif

After the announcement of the ambitious Metro project, it was found that at one station, the state had earmarked land in Sector 9 to set up an automobile market for which a foundation stone was laid in 2004. Now, the proposed land has to be given for Metro project.

Upset with the development, the Bahadurgarh Automobile Association had moved the court seeking direction to the state government to resolve the issue of allotment of land and shifting of the market to the other place. The court also found no justification in delaying the shifting of the market and held that it is in interest of the public if all the auto dealers are made to work at one place.

The petitioners submitted in the court that the land in Sector 9 was acquired and the process of setting up the market had started in 2004. Later, the petitioners came to know that the land is required for extending the Metro Line of the DMRC from Delhi to Bahadurgarh.

The state government council had informed the court a high-level committee, is working on the project of developing a Transport Nagar in Sector 17 by the HSIIDC.

The council also submitted that the process of acquiring land in the new place is pending for past one year. The court gave three months to the state government to finalize the land and shift the automobile market.

Najafgarh to get 3 flyovers

With an aim to initiate development projects in Najafgarh sub-city in Outer Delhi, Public Work Department (PWD) has decided to construct three flyovers at vital link roads at Najafgarh chowk. These flyovers will connect the areas with Gurgaon, Jhajjar and Bahadurgarh and also provide hassle-free traffic movement at this stretch.
Talking to The Pioneer, PWD Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan said that PWD had decided to construct three flyovers at Najafgarh chowk connecting Sai Dham Temple to Dhansa road, Dichaon Kalan depot to Dhansa road on Nangloi road and Haibatpura extension to Dhansa road to provide commuters hassle-free journey on this stretch. “The PWD has been directed to appoint consultant to conduct detailed drawings and traffic feasibility report for this purpose. This is the only stretch, which connects Gurgaon, Jhajjar and Bahadurgarh to Najafgarh chowk in Delhi. It is now important to decongest Najafgarh chowk in view of another proposal which is being ready between Jhajjar and Dwarka,” said Chauhan.
According to Chauhan, the proposed flyover between Sai Dham Temple and Dhansa road and Dichaon Kalan depot to Dhansa road via Nangloi will be two kilometre long while flyover from Haibatpura extension to Dhansa road will be about 0.700 kms long. The Najafgarh sub-city chowk in west Delhi is heavily crowded from four directions. The chowk is surrounding by thousands of villages in west Delhi, hence large number of pedestrians also use this chowk for reaching nearest bus stands — Delhi Gate, Chhawla, Dhansa, Nangloi, Sai Dham Temple and Bahadurgarh bus stand. Beside this, there are four schools located near Najafgarh chowk also use these roads as footpath. PWD officials say the traffic volume during the peak hours are very high at this stretch and traffic jam is a routine affairs at Najafgarh chowk.

Bahadurgarh railway station to run on solar energy

Bahadurgarh railway station to run on solar energy

Aimed at tapping more non-conventional energy, the Delhi division of Northern Railway is developing Bahadurgarh railway station, on the outskirts of Delhi, as a 'green' station.

While the energy requirement of the station would be met with solar energy, a water harvesting system is also being developed at the station premises for optimum utilisation of the resource.
Railway officials said solar panels would be installed on the station building and other suitable places.
“Solar power panel with a capacity of 20 KW is going to be installed at the station within the next two months. The power that is generated would be enough to for the power requirement of platforms, circulating area, booking office and the service buildings,” a senior Northern Railway official said.
A stand-alone solar light will also be provided at platforms to reduce electricity requirement from the main grid, the official added.
Officials said apart from harnessing alternate sources of energy, emphasis would also be on conservation of energy.
“The existing energy consuming lights will be replaced by energy efficient LED lights in the station building, circulating area and at the platforms.  All such efforts will help in drastically reducing  the power consumption. It will also result in substantial saving of revenue for railway,” the railway official said.
The expense in making the station green will be funded by the Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.

While Bahadurgarh is one of the important and fast growing localities of neighbouring Haryana, its close proximity to the Capital has only spiked the rate of development in the city.
The city is located 19 km from the capital and it will be connected with Delhi Metro in its later phases. Officials said footfall at the station is likely to increase — from the current footfall of around 32,000 people per day — if the pace of development of the area.
“The station is being initiated as a pilot project. More stations in the division are likely to be developed on similar lines,” the official said.

SATELLITE CITIES (BAHADURGARH) TO GROW WITH METRO-III

Satellite cities (BAHADURGARH) to grow with Metro-III
Thu Aug 09 2012,

New Delhi : The elevated stretch of the Metro extension connecting Delhi outskirts to Bahadurgarh in Haryana, will pave the way for the much-sought-after development in the area, said officials. The 11.1-km Metro line will traverse the largely uninhabited locations of the two states and will help connect the various cities in the NCR.
For the first time, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will develop around half-a-kilometre area on both sides of the corridor. “Plots adjacent to the Metro stations will be taken from the respective governments. Based on the nature the station’s location, the adjoining areas will be developed. The property would be developed as mixed-land use — both residential and commercial,” said a DMRC official.
The extension of the Phase III corridor from Mundka in Delhi to Bahadurgarh in Haryana has seven stations — MIA (Mundka Industrial Authority), Ghevra, Tikri Kalan, Tikri Border, MIE (Mundka Industrial Estate), Bus Stand and City Park.
The extension was approved by the EGOM — Empowered Group of Ministers — on Tuesday.
The first four Metro stations on the corridor, measuring roughly 6.3 km, fall in Delhi. The remaining stations come under Haryana. The cost of the project is estimated to be Rs 1,991 crore — Rs 912 crore will be borne by the Haryana government and the remaining Rs 1,079 crore will footed by the Delhi government.
Most of the areas beyond Mundka is either vacant or is being used by industrial estates. “So we are contemplating developing the area surrounding the industrial estate as an IT corridor or commercial estate. Some plots in the vicinity of the stations will be developed as residential complexes,” said the official.
A depot is also being planned near the proposed bus station, for which around 10 hectares of land will be handed over by the Haryana government.
According to Census 2011, the population of Bahadurgarh is set to touch four lakhs by the end of the year. With the Metro now reaching up to Bahadurgarh, the town planners foresee vast infrastructure development in the adjoining areas. “The land is cheap in Bahadurgarh. Several educational institutions have come up in the area. Investors have been demanding Metro connectivity in the area. With the approval of the Phase III extension, the place with see tremendous infrastructure development. The rate of properties in Mundka and adjacent areas will also shoot up,” said A K Jain, former commissioner (planning) of the DDA.
At the same time, officials said, for the ambitious concept of central NCR to take off, a rapid train system ought to be in place. “There has to be a well-defined network, which should not be only limited to the Metro. There should be better connectivity to the suburban towns through a rapid train system— both monorail and a high-speed train service. Also we need other pre-requisite like water supply, power and land availability for a successful sub-city project,” said Jain.

Reliance asks Haryana to declare agri land as urban

Reliance asks Haryana to declare agri land as urban
Reliance Haryana SEZ Limited (RHSL), the special purpose vehicle (SPV) incorporated to implement the now-shelved Special Economic Zone (SEZ) project in Gurgaon and Jhajjar districts, has asked the Haryana government to declare as "urban" chunks of agricultural land in Gurgaon district which the company had bought from farmers.

Reliance's request is being viewed as an effort to seek exemption from the land ceiling provisions in Haryana. As per the Haryana Ceiling on Land Holdings Act, the permissible area allowed for an individual to possess ranged from 18.12 to 54.5 acres.
However, an amendment was made in the Act in October 2011, which exempted land acquired for non-agricultural purposes and falling within an "urban area" as defined in the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act from the ceiling law.
The RHSL, a joint venture of Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Ventures Limited and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), had purchased 1,200 acres of agricultural land in Gurgaon district and 7,000 acres in Jhajjar district for setting up two SEZs.
The projects, however, stand shelved as Reliance got the structure of the SEZ project in Jhajjar changed (a model economic township will now come up instead). The death blow to the SEZ project came in January when the state government asked Reliance Industries to return 1,383 acres transferred by HSIIDC to RHSL in 2006 as the SEZ project could not fructify for the past six years. The in-principle approval for extension of the multi-product SEZ at Gurgaon, given by the department of commerce, government of India, also expired on March 31.
The SEZ prospects at Gurgaon looked grim from the beginning, with the in-principle approval granted by the union government for the SEZ expiring in March 2009 after two extensions.
While the RHSL has already got the agricultural land procured for the SEZ project in Jhajjar declared an urban area through a February 14, 2011, notification issued by the town and country planning department, it has now stepped up efforts to get the chunks of purchased land in Gurgaon district declared urban. Besides exemption from the ceiling law, getting this land declared urban will also help Reliance get industrial licences for it.
The development also assumed significance since the draft development plan of Farukhnagar in Gurgaon district was approved on Tuesday by a state level committee of the town and country planning department under the chairmanship of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. A large chunk of land being sought to be declared urban by Reliance is in the Farukhnagar controlled area.
Principal secretary, town and country planning, Sudeep Singh Dhillon, when asked about the request from Reliance, said: "They can file an objection once the draft development plan of Farukhnagar is notified. After that, we can examine whether they can be accommodated or not. The power to accept or reject the objection rests with the state government."
Reliance official Amit Vij told HT on Thursday that the request for declaring agricultural land as urban was a mere formality. "As per our agreement with HSIIDC which is a joint venture partner, we can also undertake industrial activity on this land,'' he said.
Asked whether Reliance after aggregating the land was now turning into a real estate developer, Vij denied it.
The RHSL, in a communication to the Town and Country Planning department, has said that while most of the land (in Jhajjar) is now part of urban areas as well as the controlled area, it is requested that land falling in Farukhnagar and Gurgaon controlled areas, presently outside the urban areas, be declared urban.
"This would facilitate our ability to undertake further procurement of land so as to enable development for industrial/institutional purposes," the RHSL wrote.
The company has specifically requested that chunks of land falling in Mubarakpur, Iqbalpur, Sultanpur, Budhera, Jhajrola, Makdola and Kaliwas villages be declared urban.
"When we look at combined maps of the Gurgaon Manesar development plan-2021 and 2025, Farukhnagar controlled area and Jhajjar district, we find an area consisting of parts of these villages situated within these three areas which is not declared urban presently. The RHSL has purchased land for the development of SEZ/Model Economic Township projects and some of the area is situated in between these zones," it said.
Reliance has also requested that portions of land in these villages, which are part of the Farukhnagar draft development plan, be earmarked as industrial/institutional zone.
"The same may be reflected in the final development plan of the Farukhnagar controlled area. Also, the area meant for the development of the project in Jhajjar and Gurgaon be not marked amenities zone as reflected in the draft development plan of KMP (Kundli-Manesar-Palwal)," the communication said.

Rohtak develops with Haryana CM’s bounty

HARYANA RESIDENTS will soon find some difference in Rohtak once they visit the city, fast emerging as the gateway of Haryana, thanks to many planned world class constructions.

The fast development of the home district of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda which is only 70 km from New Delhi, has emerged as a dream project of the state government. It wants to take Rohtak to the level of Gurgaon and Noida by making connecting it better with the national capital.

In the last couple of years, during Congress regime in the state, state government has succeeded in getting new building concepts, especially for Rohtak which includes Industrial Model Township (IMT), Indian Institute of management (IIM), Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), AIIMS at PGI, Sports Complex, Freedom Fighter’s Museum and the Maruti Driving School.

A senior officer in Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) said that all new buildings coming to the city from both private and public sector are being set up on a different pattern which is totally new.

“Moreover, the designs of these buildings, which had been pre-designed by best architects, cannot be adopted by any other district of the state,” he added.

When contacted, Lata Hooda, town planner, Rohtak, said, “After completion of Rohtak development plan 2025, now we are working on Rohtak development plan 2031, which is under the consideration of State Level Committee.”

Besides becoming the educational capital of Haryana, Rohtak is also fast emerging as the industrial city of the state where Maruti Suzuki has decided to set up its only R&D facility unit outside Japan.

Besides an investment of Rs 4,500 crore during 2012, Rohtak Industrial Model Township also has Asian Paints Ltd and Hitech Plastics Ltd and Footwear Design and Development Institute.

Rohtak also hosts the famous Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) of the state and a big civil hospital. Moreover, the state government has also succeeded in getting AIIMS in Rohtak PGI.

Rohtak fast emerging into a hi-tech district; Hooda in dock for being biased

Officials in Haryana town and country planning said that in the coming years, sector 6 of Rohtak where HUDA is developing the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex, which includes cricket, hockey and football facilities, tennis courts, an athletics stadium, wrestling hall, swimming pools and other leisure facilities, will be a centre of attraction of the city.

Rohtak, which is connected to seven cities by three national highways (NH 10, NH 71, and NH7 1A) and two State Highways (sh 16 and sh18) is being upgraded to six lanes with 30 km Rohtak City bypass.

Rohtak City is connected to New Delhi, Bhiwani, Jind, Gohana, and Panipat by rail.

Besides PGI, MDU and Shri Baba Mast Nath Ayurved University, there are numerous schools, and colleges in the city.

But the development of Rohtak is also causing some political upheavals in the state with most of the development project being awarded to Rohtak by Chief Minister Hooda. This has received severe criticism from the opposition parties, even from the members of ruling Congress, who attack Hooda for being biased with the people of other districts in allotting development projects.

“As far as the development is concerned, the chief minister belongs to the whole state and he should focus on overall development of the whole state”, said a senior Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader.

In similar tone, Haryana Janhit Chief Kuldeep Bishnoi said, “Hooda is ignoring other industrial cities of Gurgaon, Faridabad and Yamunanagar from where the government gets highest revenue collection”.

Urban development ministry to study feasibility of high speed train services in Delhi-- Bahadurgarh - Rohtak - Hisar corridor

Urban development ministry to study feasibility of high speed train services in Delhi- Bahadurgarh - Rohtak -  Hisar corridor

ROHTAK: The union urban development ministry has agreed to conduct feasibility study for high speed train services on Delhi-Bahadurgarh - Rohtak-Hisar corridor under the regional rapid transit system (RRTS) for better connectivity in the national capital region.

The union urban development minister Kamal Nath agreed for feasibility study on the Delhi- Bahadurgarh - Rohtak-Hisar section on the demand raised by the Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda in Lok Sabha on Monday during discussion for grant on demands.

Last year, the NCR planning board had prepared functional plan for creating transport system for NCR-2032. The plan recommended eight RRTS corridors to connect various towns/areas of NCR, of which the centre prioritized three corridors for implementation in consultation with state governments. Delhi- Bahadurgarh - Rohtak-Hisar would be the fourth corridor under the RRTS.

Taking up the demand, Hooda has said that the NCR contribute to 20 per cent of the national GDP, so the priority should be given on infrastructure development in the NCR area. He urged the minister to increase the allocation of NCR Planning Board to 500 Crores in the 12th Plan period which had been decreasing over the years.

Hooda also demanded three metro routes on Mundka-Bahadurgarh, Dwarka-Nazafgarh-Badli and Jahangirpuri-Kundli in Sonipat. He said that the Delhi Government should bear the cost of Metro line from Mundka to Tikri village in Delhi bordering Haryana. He said that the norms of 50:50 costs sharing between centre and state should be followed for future projects, complaining that Haryana Government was made to bear 80 per cent cost of the Faridabad metro project.
